Search the Campus Calendar one of two ways:
 Quick Search
These five automated searches return all listings for Today, This Week,
This Month, or Next Month at the click of a button! Listings are returned
regardless of the invited audience.
Quick search buttons may not be used in tandem with custom search fields.
Custom Search
This provides the power to retrieve only the types of listings you
choose. Customize your search by date range, keyword, invited audience,
listing category, or any combination of these. The more areas you specify, the fewer listings you will have returned.
example: searching by "invited audience=community member", and "categories=music
and theater", will return only those listings that are open to the public
and have been classified as either music or theater. If you also specify a date
range as well, only such listings that also fall in the date range indicated will be returned.
Searching by Date Range
Learn about events on a particular day or date range. For single date
searches, fill in the "start date" and "end date" with the same date. For
date range searches, fill in these fields with different dates. This
feature allows you to include past dates in your search. If you input no
data in Date Range, all listings happening today forward will be returned
(limited by any other search fields you specify).
Searching by Keyword
This searches the fields listed for the presence of a word or a word
string. Entering more than one word will return only listings which contain the
full string, not listings which contain either word. Keyword searches are
useful for learning about a specific event for which you may only know the
speaker or artist or sponsor.
Searching by Invited Audience
Some campus events or announcements pertain to specific groups (UCSC
students, campus community members, etc). This field allows you to
browse only those listings appropriate for you. If you're a member of the
public community and select that from the menu, only those events open to the
public will be displayed. If "UCSC student" is selected, you will learn about
events open to the public, events for the campus community, and events
for UCSC students only. If no selection is made in this field, all listings
will be returned regardless of audience (limited by any other search
fields you specify).
Event Category
This section allows you to learn only about certain kinds of listings, by
selecting one or more categories of interest. If no boxes are checked in
this area, all listings will be returned regardless of their categories
(limited by any other search fields you specify). Select as many categories as interest you - the more you select, the more listings you are returned.
