New York City’s BlackBox Ensemble begins its official residency with the UC Santa Cruz Music Department with an early-fall kick-off concert featuring Morton Feldman, and emerging composers in the legacies of experimentalism and minimalism. BlackBox will spend the year collaborating with composers in the UC Santa Cruz community, whose work they will premier in New York City, as well as through their participation in the Cabrillo Music Festival in 2027.

- Attend in person at the Music Center Recital Hall at UC Santa Cruz.

- Open admission with first-come, first-served seating (no ticket or registration required).
- FREE and open to the public.
- Doors are scheduled to open 30 minutes prior to event start time.
