Climate Change, Sea-Level Rise, and the California Coast

With our rapidly changing climate and rising sea levels, the coasts of California may be in trouble. Join UC Santa Cruz's own Gary Griggs, Distinguished Professor of Earth Sciences, as he discusses the reasons behind climate change and what it may mean for the coast of California, including flooding, shoreline retreat, and coastal erosion.

This presentation will build on Gary's half-century of working on the coast of California and provide evidence for future climate challenges as we brace for both short and long-term change in sea-levels.
