This concert features a wide range of pieces—some well known and others newly commissioned—that explore sound\, language\, and gesture through electronics\, field recordings\, text\, and American Sign Language (ASL). Framed in dialogue with these premieres is UC Santa Cruz professor emeritus Larry Polansky’s VEDITZ (written for the performer)\, highlighting a deeply personal and interdisciplinary approach to performance that bridges music\, communication\, accessibility\, and embodied expression.
