DESCRIPTION:New York City’s BlackBox Ensemble begins its official residency with the UC Santa Cruz Music Department with an early-fall kick-off concert featuring Morton Feldman\, and emerging composers in the legacies of experimentalism and minimalism. BlackBox will spend the year collaborating with composers in the UC Santa Cruz community\, whose work they will premier in New York City\, as well as through their participation in the Cabrillo Music Festival in 2027.\n\n\n\n\n\n—\nADMISSION\n\n\n\n\nAttend in person at the Music Center Recital Hall at UC Santa Cruz.\nAccessibility and visitor resources available here online.\nOpen admission with first-come\, first-served seating (no ticket or registration required).\nFREE and open to the public.\nDoors are scheduled to open 30 minutes prior to event start time.\n\nADVISORIES \n\nFor more information\, contact the event organizer directly or email artsevents@ucsc.edu.\n\nPARKING \n\nArts Lot #126 is the closest parking lot to the event.\nParking is by permit or Aims Mobile Pay (AMP).\nCore West parking structure and West Remote Lot 127 are free/no permit required on weekends.\nLearn more about parking at UCSC via Transportation & Parking Services (TAPS).\n\n###
