SUMMARY:Field Trip to ALBA
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an opportunity to visit the Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association (ALBA) in Salinas! \nALBA is a non-profit whose mission is to create economic opportunity for aspiring organic farmers and ag professionals — many of whom are local field workers and first-generation college students — through land-based education in the heart of the Salinas Valley. On this field trip we will learn about their programs which cover: organic farm production\, nutrient management and irrigation\, farm business\, and marketing. If time allows there may also be a harvesting activity. \nLunch will be provided after the tour (please see food order section to place your order) \n  \nOVERVIEW: \nWe will meet at the Hay Barn parking lot at 8:00am\, departing at 8:10am. We’ll arrive at ALBA in Salinas at 9am. After our tour we will have lunch at 12pm (provided).
